Before repair

Does my machine need to be repaired or can I do it myself?

If you constantly receive imperfect welding results or certain errors repeatedly occur, the welding machine may be faulty—but this is not necessarily the case. Often, application-specific operating errors can also lead to imperfections and create the impression that the machine could be faulty.

We have compiled a list of the most common operating errors and their effect on the result. Before contacting us for a repair, use the list to check whether the machine is actually faulty.

You can also use our diagram with the welding parameters to make sure that the weld is being executed correctly. If the results are still imperfect and errors occur, the error likely lies with the machine. In that case, you should send it in for repair.

My machine is over 20 years old, can I still send it in for repair?

Our welding machines have a long service life, so it may well be that you have a machine that is more than 20 years old.

Despite this, we do not take on the repairs of machines of this age. In some cases, we no longer have the necessary original replacement parts in stock. Besides this, it is particularly important that electrical components are not used beyond their intended service life.

But this does not mean that we simply leave you high and dry with your machine. In these special cases, make sure to get in touch and we will find a suitable solution for you.

Is my machine covered by a warranty?

We provide a 3-year warranty for all new machines. This covers the absolutely faultless condition of our products in terms of material and fabrication. The warranty period starts on the invoice date.

The warranty applies in the event of a product failure or defect and includes the free repair or, if necessary, the complete replacement of the machine. However, for this warranty to be recognized, the machine must have been operated in line with our operating instructions and regularly serviced by us or an authorized dealer.

The warranty lapses in case of incorrect use of the machines, use of the machines with accessories/spare parts manufactured by other providers, unauthorized interventions in/modifications of the machines, incomplete products.

Please note: The requirements for submitting a warranty claim indicated here merely provide a rough guide. Only the warranty provisions documented in the contract are legally binding!

Should I send my machine in or can it be collected?

Faulty machines must essentially be sent to us. We do not collect machines from your location. All transport and packaging costs are borne by the customer—even for warranty claims. If your options are limited, please get in touch with us to arrange an individual solution.

Can I get my machine repaired on site?

As the localization of the fault can take some time, which is also true for the repair itself, we do not carry out repairs at the customer’s location. Please send faulty machines to us after prior arrangement. Only at our workshop do we have the capacities and facilities to offer the best possible service for your machine.

What do I need to pay attention to when sending in my machine?

Above all, make sure that you have the right claims form for every delivery. In addition, all relevant machines and accessories must be completely and securely packed in order for us to carry out your repair.
