The right packaging

On the basis of the following photos you can see how our equipment should be packed to avoid transport, loading and unloading damage and possible dangerous situations. Many of our welding units are equipped with a heavy transformer. This is located in the rear part of the equipment, which causes the center of gravity to shift backwards in an undefined way. For this reason, it is important to secure the equipment very firmly and stable on a pallet. Closed pallets or closed wooden crates are also suitable for transport, but even with these the devices must be adequately secured to prevent possible slippage.

When lashing, please make sure that the straps are not tightened too tightly, otherwise the device housing could be deformed. In addition, please also use edge protection material and wrap the device to be transported in foil to protect it against dirt and moisture.

Here you can see an example of how a device should NOT be packed. The rollers slip into the gaps during transport, which causes the device to become misaligned, the rollers to be damaged by industrial trucks, and the device to be a hazard when unloaded from the pallet.

Rental equipment packaging

For our stud welding machine Elotop 3010 we have developed a steel frame for transport as well as user-friendly use. We would like to use this as a prototype and hear your opinion. After a certain amount of experience has been gathered, we will then also develop corresponding frames for other types of equipment.

After using the rack, we would like to ask you to send us your feedback to info@koeco.net with the topic of rental racks. We would like to thank you in advance for your assistance and will give you a small gift for each contribution sent.
